Kurbingui Youth Development is a community organisation that is leading the way as a mentor, educator and role model for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the greater Brisbane region. We have grown from a small boxing club in 2001 to an organisation that has numerous government and other funded programs. We are continually seeking new opportunities to provide more support for community need.
To build a flexible, sustainable organisation based on cultural values that can empower community to reach their potential.
To be a deadly organisation that supports our mob on their journey.
Building self-awareness and cultural identity through learning and developing new skills and feeling the sense of achievement when taking positive action.
Supporting a whole and integrated community with a positive and harmonious identity.
Being an organisation that is honest and ethical, acts with integrity and works from agreed values.
Open communication and exchange of views that promotes and values differences and similarities amongst all people.
Cooperating with others towards a common vision and embracing a creative approach to work which produces shared leadership.
