Engagement Blackfella Way
Yeaca Dhargo Family Project facilitates a cultural awareness training
seminar named “Engagement Blackfella Way”. This is aimed directly at
government services and non-government organizations that deal with
Indigenous people and provides engagement strategies for workers to use when
supporting Indigenous people. ‘Engagement Blackfella Way’ provides an
understanding of how non-Indigenous workers can assist and communicate with
Australian Indigenous people. Local Indigenous people from youth to elders
have participated in this event to offer not only testimonials for the group
but to also engage in the promotion of their culture and break down barriers
that hinder them accessing mainstream agencies. We are now taking
registrations for this seminar and to register your interest or further
information phone Nicky Evans on (07) 3265 3260 or email on
projectworker@kurbingui.org.au.
