Brisbane International Women’s Day Parliamentary Breakfast Event

Today members from our Kurbingui admin team (Tina & Letisha) enjoyed a moving and inspiring morning to celebrate International Women’s Day with a special Parliamentary Breakfast at Queensland Parliament, Premiers’ & Speakers’ Hall honouring the remarkable women who have shaped Queensland’s history not only through leadership and activism, but through the often-unrecognised roles of motherhood, caregiving, and community building.

The 2026 theme “Balance the Scales” focuses on addressing systemic barriers, injustice, and safety for women and girls. International Women’s Day (IWD) in Queensland is celebrated annually on March 8th, with 2026 events highlighting the theme “Balance the Scales” to promote justice, safety, and representation for women.
