YEACA DHARGO
Indigenous Family Support Service

(funded by the Dept of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services)
KYDA under the Yeaca Dhargo Indigenous Family Support Service (IFS) will provide up to 3-6 months support if you are having difficulties in parenting, child rearing and family relationships .

The Family Support Program provides therapeutic case management support, assistance and advocacy.
All the staff from the IFS service operate within very strict guidelines in respect to code of conduct and confidentiality. All staff undertake training on a regular basis to build and sharpen their skills in client capacity building. The family support program is about strengthening peoples capacity to deal with life’s issues.

Support can only be provided if referred by the Department of Child Safety, Education, Child Care and Medical Professionals.
The aim of the program is to reduce the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families involved with the Child Protection Services.
